Aware of severity of gender based violence at schools TPO Foundation team Sarajevo joined forces with Pedagogical Institute of Tuzla Canton and Ministry of Education of Herzegovina Neretva Canton and has begun the realisation of three year project of gender based violence prevention and reduction at schools. During joint work and planning project partners deliberated and defined a several strategic points of action in order to provide psychosocial support of teachers, students i.e. overall strengthening of school team. Meetings of strategic planning resulted in joint plan of action and set programme activities that, in the period from October to December, will start realisation of ten interactive workshops in the field of media pedagogy. These workshops will be organised in Sarajevo and Tuzla Cantons and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton in cooperation with the team from the Centre of Cultural and Media Decontamination.

These workshops will not only encourage teachers to use audio-visual materials in their teaching process but also for their independent designing. This was also an opportunity to set joint agenda that will be implemented during 16 Days of Activism against Gender based Violence. In this regard representatives of partner organisations, educational institutions as well as governmental sector committed to use all possible and existing mechanisms and resources from governmental and non-governmental sector in order to implement gender based violence prevention in B&H schools during the next three years.
